Since our start in Cortland, New York in 1969, Paul Bunyan Wood Products has been in the pallet and custom crate and container business. SInce that time we have expanded our product offering to include landscape mulch. Today we are based just up the road in Preble, New York and are a wholly owned subsidiary of Gutchess Lumber Company. Started in 1904 in Cortland, Gutchess Lumber is arguably one of the oldest continuous running manufacturers in New York.
While Gutchess Lumber exports their hardwoods globally, Paul Bunyan’s markets are primarily in New York State. As a part of Gutchess Lumber Company, we are an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company. Our employee owners take pride in their work and producing and delivering quality products, on time, as ordered, and undamaged.
